We’ve had two Werewolve themed movies open in the last 3/4 months, ‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon’ and ‘Wolfman’.

So which one did better, well that would be ‘New Moon’.

Here is the breakdown.

New Moon opened on 11/20/09 with a $50mil budget and grossed a 3 day opening total of $142.8 million, and grossing in total (so far) $295.5 million domesticity and $706.1 million worldwide.

‘Wolfman’ which opened on 2/12/10 with a $150 million budget and grossed a 3 day opening total of $31.4 million dollars, to date grossing only $50.3 million domestic and $97 million worldwide (funny enough ‘Valentine’s Day’ took #1, meaning the scheme of things, ‘The Wolfman’ was again beat by a Taylor Lautner film).

If you total all the Werewolf moves since 1980, BoxOfficeMojo.com put ‘The Wolfman’ at #5 and ‘New Moon’ at #1 with both ‘Underworld’ movies and ‘Wolf’ filling in spots 2-4.

So once again, low budget, no A-list cast (at the time), “Teenaged” targeted movie beats out the high budget, super star cast (Sir Anthony Hopkins, Emily Blunt).

Congratulations to Kristen Stewart for winning BAFTA’s Orange ‘Rising Star’ award.

Kristen is the first American Woman to ever win the award and the 2nd American in general (Shia Lebeouf won previously).

The Rising Star award is voted upon by British Fans (so only those with a U.K. IP address could vote).

Kristen will mostly be back for next year’s BAFTA’s to present the Rising Star award to the next winner as per tradition (last year’s winner was Noel Clarke from Dr. Who).

In her speech (below) Kristen thanked the Twilight fans for “proving to be again and again the most devoted and attentive fans ever”.

Kristen Stewart confirmed that she and co-star Taylor Lautner will be presenting at this years Oscar Awards on March 7th.

Last year Rob Pattinson presented the best 2008 Love Stories at the 2009 Oscars.

Well there is no confirmation on what Kristen and Taylor will be presenting this year, it could be the rumored sneak peak of ‘Eclipse’ that has been rumored to be debuting at the award show.

What else did Kristen confirm “I’ve been looking at shoes,I’m trying to pick shoes that I know I won’t fall down in.”

Rachelle Lefevre (Twilight/New Moon) has just found her new gig.

It was announced today that Rachelle will join the cast of CBS’ still untitled medical drama from creator John Wells.

Her character Katy, is described as a smart and confident medical road warrior who’s more comfortable working in the field than in the office.

The show focus is on a medical team that travels around the U.S.

Rachelle Lefevre was replaced by Bryce Dallas Howard in ‘The Twilight Saga:Eclipse’ due to scheduling conflicts.

The Ultimate Fan Edition New Moon DVD is now available for pre-order at Wal-Mart.com
