Fansite Fridays: Chris Weitz Interview Part II
Its the last “Fansite Friday”, so to go out with a bang, the FF sites are giving us part II of their interview with New Moon Director Chris Weitz!!!
Q: The sets for the Volturi’s lair?
Chris: I think the set for the Volturi’s lair is going to be really interesting for the fans. It’s going to be really fun. It’s first of all one of the biggest sets I’ve ever seen. It’s one of the grandest that I’ve ever seen. It’s what it deserves. (Well they are the Volturi) They’re a big deal. (They don’t go small) No, they don’t go small. (laughs)I think it’s first of all just shooting Volterra itself obviously you have to get that right the race to the square and all that but when we get inside it’s going to be fairly extraordinary. I’m very happy with it.
Q: Are you filming the interiors here in Vancouver?
Chris: Were filming the interiors here. Yeah we’re building the interiors because we get to make up that interior and control it ourselves. The exteriors belong in Italy.
Q: How the chase seen looking, is it any longer, and changes?
Chris: Not really. No I think we are going to try to deliver down to the yellow Porsche to get the details right.

Fansite Fridays: Chris Weitz Interview
Yes, I know I’m a few days late with this post, but better late then never. Fansite Friday’s continue with an interview with New Moon Director Chris Weitz:
Q: Was it intimidating coming into a fandom with such intense fans?
Chris: Yeah- I mean on the one hand it is, but on the other hand I really feel like everyone wants the movie to be good and everyone has been very encouraging and supportive there haven’t been… things have felt very positive toward me- of course I have been avoiding the internet because I don’t want to get to caught up-
My responsibility is to the readership, and my responsibility is not to the internet-no matter what you guys are doing- I’m addressing the same people you are but I don’t want to get caught up in any controversy that’s going on online or whatever people have to say about me when I was selected- I did that on Golden Compass once- and there was a vote as to who they would rather have as director and “other” beat me- I didn’t want to be in that situation
Q: I think it was great when the press release went out about how committed you were to the film that all of that really died down right around then.
Chris: Well that’s good- I think that its great to have this kind of inbuilt audience of fans, and I feel that they are extraordinarily supportive. They really want things to be good, and the cast wants this to be good- kind of the same kind of commitment to getting the books right…and that’s how I feel.

Fansite Fridays: Interview with Taylor Lautner

For this Fansite Friday, the sites are bringing us an exclusive interview with ‘Jacob Black’ himself Taylor Lautner!!!
Q: Did you actually get a tattoo??
Taylor: I did not. no no no no no.
Q: Is it henna? What did they use?? Is it a stick on?
Taylor: Yeah, just like normal tattoos like you get from the 25 cent machine. It’s obviously a little bit more than 25 cents. Yeah just stick the towel over top and water- works pretty nice.
Q: With Twilight, Kristen was underage and it presented a big factor in filming. Since you are under 18 has that affected filming in any way?
Taylor: No I can work the same hours as anybody else. I can work adult hours. I tested out of high school, and I am in college right now. So I can work all night- all day all night (laughs)
You can the whole interview including the audio clips over at either TwilightLexicon.com or HisGoldenEyes.com
Fansite Fridays: Chaske Spencer & Gil Birmingham Interviews

Week 3 of “Fansite Fridays” continues with interviews from Chaske Spencer (Sam Uley) and Gil Birmingham (Billy Black).
Gil Birminham
Q: What’s this movie like compared to the first movie. What’s the production been like overall?
Gil: It’s much larger (laughs) I’ll tell you that. I don’t know. That’s a good question. How was it different? Being in Vancouver is slightly different. You know the cast members are still like a family. You take a little break, and you’re back together again. So, it picks up where we left off.You know they found such a great location to-look at that house-(indicates the newly created Bella’s house set) it looks like the other one exactly.
You know I’m not here that much. I just got in this weekend. So this is my first day on-I was here a couple of weeks ago when we did the shoot (speaking of scenes shot at the Black House location). Now I’m here for today and I’m gone tomorrow. So, I don’t know whether I’m in a position to tell you if there is a whole lot of difference.
Chaske Spencer
Q: What’s your favorite scene so far?
Chaske: The scene where Bella confronts the wolfpack. “It was pretty epic”.Q: How did the wolf pack bond together?
Chaske: We were all rooming in the same hotel, so we always saw each other. We trained together and hung out together playing basketball. We knew we “needed to be a band of brothers” on screen, so we tried to bond on and off screen. We made sure that we would go to meals together and sit as a family.Q: What do you do when you’re not shooting?
Chaske: I train a lot and explore Vancouver.
Both interviews are up on Twilight Lexicon and His Golden Eyes!!!
Fansite Friday’s: Wyck Godfrey Interview

It’s the second week of Fansite Friday’s, and this week we were given the interview the sites go to do with Twilight Saga Producer Wyck Godfrey.
Q:You’ve already shot the end?
Wyck: Yeah. We haven’t shot the Italian stuff, we’ve shot when they come back, and the part with Jacob in the road and he reminds Edward of the treaty, and her. She basically has to say ,”We had a great time, but Edward’s back, you know.”Q:So are you paying for Kristen’s therapy after all this? [laughs] She’s got to be destroyed or exhausted after the end of each day.
Wyck: Yeah, I mean that’s the thing people forget, she shoots every day. Usually in a movie, you shoot a few scenes, you get a couple days off. I mean, she has such amazing tenacity and professionalism in terms of sticking with showing up every day ready for the next scene.
Well, finally, in Breaking Dawn, we have a chunk that’s in Jacob’s point of view, so she might get a break! When you write a book series from one character’s point of view, so subjectively, it’s pretty much nothing that takes place on screen that she’s not a part of.
